Each painting is inspired by life and through experience.  In a way, each piece is an artist self-portrait containing the expression, philosophy and solution for the archetypal questions and issues that concern us all.  Paintings are grouped according to themes, but due to their abstract nature, they may also be grouped by shape or color, providing flexibility especially when paired with interior design.

Dive, oil on canvas, 30 x 60"

Animal Shamanism
Inspired by nature and all of the animals within her domain.  This series contains lessons learned from observing animals and their ancient archetypes as well as self-portraits painted using animals as totems.

Crazy Horse, oil on canvas, 40 x 30"

Native American Indian
Lee has always felt a kinship with the Native Americans of this country.  He has also felt the guilt and the sadness caused by our forefather's mistakes and wishes to do what he can to support those that honor and cherish our Mother Earth in an attempt to live with, not against the planet.

Drama, oil on canvas, 36 x 36"

Renaissance
This series was inspired by a trip to the Vatican and to Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel.  During this visit, and with the museum's permission, the artist photographed sections of the ceiling and transposed these blurred photographs onto canvas.

Ulysses' Patience, oil on canvas, 30 x 40"

Mythology
Mythology comes in many forms and is part of all societies; indeed it is the way we pass morals and lessons dealing with human archetypes and stories over the centuries.  Exploring and investigating mythologies all from vastly different cultures, the artist puts his spin on this timeless area of study.

Van Gough, oil on canvas, 30 x 40"

Masters of Art
Inspired by the greatest artists of all time, Lee Arrington honors these timeless classics with his own contemporary impressionist play.  "I cannot help but pay homage to those before me, as Rubens did with Titian."

Painting Jazz, oil on canvas, 50 x 30"

Music & World Travel
A guitarist and avid world traveler himself, the artist attempts to put music to canvas, and combine storytelling and traveling in search of adventure.

When Questions equal Answers, oil on canvas, 24 x 22"

Philosophy
These abstract expressionist works seek to explain the unexplainable, contemplate life and its intricacies, and crack the puzzle that is the mystery of life.  Click here to see the artist's unique interpretation of the world and its questions.

The Chakras, oil on canvas, 63 x 12"

Spirituality
Thoughts turned into studies concerning the common denominators of religions and the feeling that there is something greater at work in the universe.
